Safe at SNAXPO COVID-19 Protocols

We are looking forward to welcoming you to SNAXPO21 at the Charlotte Convention Center (CCC), August 22-24, 2021. The venue is walkable from the three official SNAXPO hotels, The Westin Charlotte, Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte Uptown and Hampton Inn Uptown, alleviating the need for local transportation.

The Charlotte Convention Center has invested in many upgrades to protect the health and safety of its guests since March 2020, and has achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation which recognizes the implementation of stringent cleaning protocols and best practices for disinfection and infectious disease prevention. In addition, the convention center has integrated needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI) air purification technologies into its HVAC systems as another layer of protection. For more information, please see the Charlotte Convention Center’s safety and cleaning protocols overview.

While the 2021 show presents us with the opportunity to get back to business, we recognize that this year will be a little different. SNAXPO attendee safety is our top priority. We are taking steps to bolster the world-class safety protocols already in place at the convention center. Additional policies and safety measures will be added and/or updated regularly based on city, county, state and federal mandates and guidance.

To encourage a safe and successful show, we are providing the following resources and highlighting the COVID-19 protocols that you can expect to see on-site:

  • Indoor masks, regardless of vaccination status, are now required by the City of Charlotte, in accordance with the latest CDC guidance. The mask policy includes an exception for eating & drinking and medical conditions. You will not be permitted to enter the Convention Center, NASCAR Hall of Fame, and Westin receptions without a mask. Masks will be provided to everyone in attendance.
  • All attendees will be required to complete a daily health assessment prior to entering the convention center.
  • Additional meeting space has been secured resulting in capacity never exceeding 25% of the maximum.
  • All education sessions will feature socially-distanced seating.
  • Enhanced physical cleaning will be a priority with hourly sanitizing of high-traffic areas throughout the show floor and common areas, including doorways, elevators and escalators.
  • Social distancing will be promoted along with frequent hand washing. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the show and hand sanitizer will be provided to everyone in attendance.
  • There will be dedicated entry and exit points and more access areas to the exhibit halls to spread people more evenly throughout the facility.
  • Visual signage/floor clings will be used throughout the building to ensure proper flow and social distancing.
  • Show floor hallway carpeting has been eliminated to allow for more effective daily cleaning.
  • Registration counters will be spread out to accommodate social distancing. We will employ additional contactless badge pickup kiosks with more locations and longer hours to reduce crowding at registration.
  • Contactless lead retrieval will be offered to eliminate the need to exchange business cards.
  • Buffet stations on the exhibit hall floor will be replaced with prepackaged meals. All food service provided will have masked and gloved attendants.
  • All product samples must be individually wrapped or provided by a designated attendant wearing gloves and masks.
  • Exhibitors are required to bring hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes to keep booth surfaces clean.
  • All attendees are required to adhere to government issued travel restrictions and guidance.
